about

A comparative collection of 2 tracks by each artist. First, an early recording of the artist followed by a recent recording of the artist.

"Evolution/Revolution, once again a Mike Fuchs / Yellow Salamand´r idea for a new Ensemble for Sound Poetry and Contemporary Music (EFSPACM) project.

Fantastic! I thought. Usually, you are so busy with your ongoing music – and otherly projects, everyday life, your job, your family and what not … that you seldom find the time to look back to where you come from. Well, looking back of course can be many things...from: what! This was me? To: oh my God! How could I ever? And a lot in-between. But looking back is not only good, it is important. Looking back helps you reassure who you are. Looking back is a good way to remember where you started your journey, to remember what your dreams were and your visions. And remembering this helps you find out if you still are heading towards those goals...but helps you evaluate if those dreams still are valid for you. Sometimes you find you lost your way, but hey! There is always a way to steer back to your path, if this is what you want.

My daughter is an archeologist, you might think her job is about digging out bones and stuff, but it is more than that, understanding history helps you understand the current situation, even if that might lead you to the conclusion that history teaches you one thing….that mankind does not learn from it's history.

But that must not irritate us. We are here to take a look at where we started our musical journey and then a second glance at where we are now, Old vs. New you might say.

The result is truly amazing and wonderful."
